- keep it simple
- when serving beer, be sure to provide both light and regular
- when serving wine, have both red and white options available
- nametags with clever icebreaker questions
- select a genre of music for the party and have guests create a cd to be played at the event
- host/hostess to provide post-party transportation
- when hosting a themed party, make sure all aspects stay theme related - i.e. dress, music, food, drink, etc.
- serve a house drink
- provide a sitter for the children of your guests
- host a party in honor of a charity and have guests donate to that designated organization
